CORE ESPORTS & GAMING

Esports at 485Hz, AAA at 4K

Switch to FHD 485Hz for competitive shooters, where ELMB Sync runs motion-blur reduction together with G-SYNC Compatible / FreeSync Premium VRR. Switch back to 4K 162Hz for story games, and use Dynamic Crosshair and Dynamic Shadow Boost to keep targets visible.

STUDIO & WORKSTATION

Consoles, Handhelds & Sharp Text

HDMI 2.1 carries 4K at 120Hz with VRR and Auto Low Latency Mode from PS5 and Xbox Series X, and USB-C with DP Alt mode drives a ROG Ally X or a laptop on one cable while supplying 15W. At 0.155 mm pixel pitch, 4K text stays crisp for daytime work.

Frequently Asked Questions & Store Policies

TECH SPECS How does the dual mode work?
A hotkey switches the monitor between 3840 × 2160 at up to 162Hz and 1920 × 1080 at up to 485Hz. Use 4K for detail and the 485Hz mode for competitive games where frame rate matters more than resolution. ASUS notes that image presentation at the lower resolution differs from native 4K; its Smart Pixel upscaling is there to keep it sharp.
TECH SPECS Which cable do I need for 485Hz or 4K 162Hz?
Use the DisplayPort 1.4 cable included in the box, or HDMI 2.1. ASUS lists 48–485Hz in FHD mode and 48–162Hz in 4K mode on both HDMI and DisplayPort/USB-C. Your graphics card's output must also support those modes.
TECH SPECS Will it work with PS5, Xbox Series X and handhelds?
Yes. ASUS lists 4K 120Hz with VRR over HDMI 2.1 for PS5 and Xbox Series X, with Auto Low Latency Mode, and single-cable USB-C video plus power for the ROG Ally X. Nintendo Switch 2 is capped at 60fps in 4K.
TECH SPECS Is HDR good on this monitor?
It is VESA DisplayHDR 400 certified with HDR10 input, and ASUS rates it at 400 nits typical and 400 nits peak. That suits HDR games and video with a modest highlight boost; it is not a local-dimming or OLED-level HDR display.
TECH SPECS Does it have speakers or a USB hub?
No speakers: use the earphone jack or your own speakers. The USB-C port is for DP Alt mode video and 15W charging, and ASUS lists no USB-A hub.
