Designed with MenaRD

GameSir made this edition with MenaRD, the two-time Street Fighter world champion: a green-to-black gradient shell, his signature on the right grip and a lightning motif. Underneath it is the standard Tarantula 8K PC, with micro switch ABXY buttons and a tactile-switch D-pad.

Gen-2 Mag-Res TMR Sticks

The cut-away shows the stick module. GameSir's second-generation TMR sensors read the stick magnetically, so there is no rubbing contact to wear into drift, and a 12-bit ADC chip turns that into 4,096 levels of position. GameSir rates the module for 5 million cycles.

Dual-Mode Trigger Stops

Each trigger has a switch on the back. Leave it open for Hall Effect analog travel in racing or driving games, or lock it for a short micro switch click that fires the moment you touch it in a shooter.

Nine Remappable Buttons

Two back buttons, two mini bumpers and five extra front buttons can each take a macro of up to 32 steps in GameSir Connect. The back buttons have latches: locked, they drop flush so you never press them by accident.

Does the Tarantula 8K PC work on Xbox, PlayStation or a phone?

No. GameSir lists PC as its only platform. It is a wired controller for Windows games and Steam; for Xbox look at the GameSir G7 family instead.

Is 8000 Hz always on?

No, it is adjustable. GameSir gives four polling levels, 250, 1000, 4000 and 8000 Hz, over the wired connection; the highest setting reports the controller's state 8,000 times a second.

Why does it have no vibration?

GameSir built it without rumble motors or a battery, which keeps it at 180 g. If you want rumble in your games, it is not the right pad.

What are the dual-mode trigger stops?

A switch on the back of each trigger. Unlocked, the triggers are Hall Effect analog for smooth, gradual input; locked, they become short micro switch clicks for fast shooting.

What can GameSir Connect change?

On a Windows PC it sets button mapping and macros (up to 32 steps per button), stick curves, trigger response, the polling rate and the RGB lighting.

Is the MenaRD Edition different inside?

No. GameSir lists the same spec table as the standard Tarantula 8K PC: Gen-2 TMR sticks, dual-mode triggers, micro switch ABXY, 8000 Hz polling and 180 g. The difference is the gradient shell, MenaRD's signature and the lightning motif.
