Hollyland Lyra — A Large-Sensor 4K Webcam for Streams and Meetings
Most webcams use a 1/3" or 1/2.5" sensor. The Lyra uses a 1/1.5" CMOS with 50 MP effective pixels behind an F/1.8 lens, records true 4K at 30 fps or 1080p at 60 fps, and keeps you sharp with phase-detection autofocus (PDAF). AI tracking and auto-framing keep the speaker centred, a built-in 48 kHz / 24-bit microphone cuts up to 25 dB of room noise, and a rotating privacy shutter closes the lens. It weighs 80 g, sits on a magnetic mount in landscape or portrait, and connects over USB-C.
Streamers and Content Creators
True 4K at 30 fps or smooth 1080p60, a shallow F/1.8 background blur and HollyStudio's background removal, overlays and colour tools. The Lyra can also record 4K30 MP4 clips to your PC while you stream, and the magnetic mount turns it to portrait for vertical platforms.
Meetings, Classes and Presentations
AI tracking keeps you framed when you walk to a whiteboard, and auto-framing adjusts when a new speaker joins. The built-in mic reduces keyboard clicks and AC hum, ten preset positions switch between speaker, product and whiteboard views in one click, and it works with Zoom, Teams and most platforms.
A 1/1.5" Sensor Behind an F/1.8 Lens
The lens ring is printed "1/1.5 SENSOR" and "4K F/1.8". Hollyland says the 1/1.5" CMOS is about three times larger than the 1/3" and 1/2.5" sensors most webcams use, so it gathers more light in dim rooms. The lens has an 82° field of view and a 26 mm equivalent focal length, and the green LED beside it shows when the camera is on.
Phase-Detection Autofocus (PDAF)
Hollyland's PDAF frames show focus moving from the presenter's face to the product she holds up to the lens. Phase detection calculates the focus distance in one step instead of hunting back and forth like contrast-detection webcams, so close-up product demos snap into focus quickly.
AI Tracking and Smart Auto-Framing
The two scenes show the frame following the speaker as he moves around the room. Lyra's AI tracking keeps you centred, it tracks everyone in view, and it reframes automatically when a new speaker joins, which helps in group calls and when you walk away from the desk.
Pro Controls in HollyStudio
The HollyStudio window on the desktop and laptop screens is where you fine-tune focus, ISO, white balance, brightness and contrast, apply skin smoothing, remove the background and adjust the microphone. It also stores ten preset camera positions. On Mac, HollyStudio currently offers the basic controls and green screen only.
