Intel® Core™ i7-14700 Tray | 20 Cores · 28 Threads · Up to 5.4 GHz · UHD 770
The i7-14700 is Intel's 14th-gen Raptor Lake i7 for LGA 1700 in the 65 W power class: 8 Performance-cores and 12 Efficient-cores give 20 cores and 28 threads, boosting to 5.4 GHz with 33 MB Intel Smart Cache and 28 MB of L2. It is rated at 65 W base / 219 W maximum turbo, supports DDR5-5600 or DDR4-3200 up to 192 GB, and provides 20 PCIe 5.0 / 4.0 lanes. Unlike the F models it keeps Intel UHD Graphics 770, so the motherboard's display outputs work without a graphics card. Tray means the bare processor with no Intel box cooler.
Eight Fast P-cores Up to 5.4 GHz
Games lean on the eight Performance-cores, which reach 5.3 GHz (5.4 GHz with Turbo Boost Max 3.0). Intel Thread Director steers background work onto the twelve E-cores so the game threads keep the fast cores.
28 Threads plus Quick Sync
Twenty cores and 28 threads handle compiles, renders and multitasking, while UHD Graphics 770 adds Intel Quick Sync Video for hardware video encode and decode, useful in editing apps even when a discrete GPU is installed.

Genuine i7-14700: SRN40 Marking
The store's photo of the processor itself: the heat spreader is laser-marked Intel Core i7 / i7-14700 with spec code SRN40. The 45.0 × 37.5 mm LGA 1700 package fits Intel 600- and 700-series boards. Tray units ship as the bare CPU, so budget a cooler sized for up to 219 W turbo power.
