JSAUX CC0020 — A 2-Metre, 100W USB-C Cable for Laptops, Tablets and Phones
The CC0020 is a USB-C to USB-C charging cable rated for up to 100 W (20 V × 5 A) of USB Power Delivery. A built-in E-marker chip tells the charger the cable can carry 5 A, which is what lets a 100 W charger run at full power. Without it a USB-C cable is held to 60 W. It works with 30, 45, 60, 65, 96 and 100 W USB-C chargers, and at 2 metres it reaches from a wall socket to a desk or sofa. The jacket is nylon braided with a reinforced strain relief at each plug. Data runs at USB 2.0 speed, and the cable does not carry video.
Laptops and Tablets
A USB-C laptop such as a MacBook Pro or a ThinkPad needs a 5 A cable to draw more than 60 W. With its E-marker, the CC0020 lets a 100 W charger deliver its full rating. JSAUX lists MacBook Pro and Air (M1/M2), iPad Pro, Surface Pro and Chromebooks as compatible.
Phones and Handheld Consoles
The same cable charges USB-C phones such as the iPhone 15 series, Galaxy S23/S22/S21, Z Flip and Z Fold, and Google Pixel, along with Steam Deck, ROG Ally, ROG Ally X and Nintendo Switch. At 2 m you can keep playing or scrolling while the device charges.
Up to 100 W From One USB-C Port
JSAUX's charging graphic shows the grey cable charging an iPad Pro 12.9" and an iPhone 15 Pro. In JSAUX's own 30-minute test they reached 66% and 70%. The cable is rated for 20 V × 5 A, so the real speed depends on your charger and device. You need a 100 W charger to reach 100 W.
An E-Marker Chip Inside the Plug
The cut-away shows the E-marker chip inside the USB-C plug. It identifies the cable to the charger as a 5 A cable, and the charger then adjusts voltage and current to suit the device. JSAUX's comparison makes the point: 100 W with an E-marker, against the 60 W ceiling of a cable without one.
Laser-Welded Plugs and a Nylon Braid
JSAUX's build graphic shows four details: laser welding on the metal connector shell, the nylon-braided jacket, a reinforced hook that holds the plug together, and a ribbed strain relief where the cable meets the plug, which is the point that usually fails first.
