What It Does Well
PCIe Card With Two High-Gain Antennas
The card goes into a PCIe slot inside your desktop, and its two fixed omni-directional antennas screw onto the back bracket. Wi-Fi 6 with 160 MHz channels and 1024-QAM reaches up to 2402 Mbps on 5 GHz and 574 Mbps on 2.4 GHz with a router that supports the same features.
Wi-Fi and Bluetooth for a Desktop
For Bluetooth, the included header cable connects the card to a USB 2.0 header on your motherboard. MU-MIMO and OFDMA help when many devices share the network, and WPA3 adds stronger password protection. MERCUSYS supports it on Windows 10 and 11 (64-bit).

Is this a router?
No. The MA80XE is a Wi-Fi card that goes inside a desktop PC so the PC can connect to your existing router wirelessly. It has no Ethernet ports.
Does Bluetooth work as soon as the card is installed?
Bluetooth needs the included header cable connected from the card to a USB 2.0 header on your motherboard. Wi-Fi works through the PCIe slot alone once the driver is installed.
Will it fit a small-form-factor case?
Only if the case takes full-height cards. MERCUSYS notes the MA80XE is not compatible with a low-profile bracket because the antennas are fixed.
