MSI PRO B850M-G โ AM5 micro-ATX with PCIe 5.0, Gen5 M.2 and 5G LAN
An AMD B850 micro-ATX motherboard for Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series processors. MSI gives it a Direct 7+2+1 phase VRM with P-PAK under an extended heatsink, a PCIe 5.0 x16 graphics slot with EZ PCIe Clip II, a PCIe 5.0 x4 M.2 slot under M.2 Shield Frozr, two DDR5 slots rated to 8200+ MT/s (OC) and 5G LAN. The silver-on-black finish suits both white and black builds. It is a wired-network board: there is no Wi-Fi on it.

Direct 7+2+1 VRM under the silver heatsink โ Top & Left
Seven Vcore phases, two for SoC and one for MISC, fed by one solid-pin 8-pin CPU connector. 7W/mK MOSFET pads and extra choke pads sit under the extended heatsink.
2 ร DDR5 DIMM slots โ Right
Dual-channel DDR5, up to 128 GB, rated to 8200+ MT/s (OC) with one single-rank DIMM per channel. AMD EXPO and A-XMP profiles, single-sided latches.
PCIe 5.0 x16 slot with EZ PCIe Clip II โ Upper expansion
Wired to the CPU at PCIe 5.0 x16 on Ryzen 9000/7000, surface-mounted and reinforced with Steel Armor. The one-finger clip releases the graphics card.

What feeds the socket, and what keeps it cool
Direct 7+2+1 Phase VRM
Seven digital Vcore phases with P-PAK, plus two for SoC and one for MISC, with Core Boost, load-line calibration and overvoltage protection. One 8-pin CPU connector is all it needs.
Extended Heatsink
The large silver heatsink in this shot covers the VRM and sits on 7W/mK MOSFET thermal pads, with additional pads on the chokes for sustained all-core loads.
6-Layer Server-Grade PCB
Six layers with 2oz thickened copper carry the current and keep DDR5 and PCIe 5.0 signals clean.
Chipset Heatsink & Combo Fan Header
The finned chipset heatsink at the lower right, plus a combo header that auto-detects a pump or a PWM/DC fan, alongside the CPU fan and two system fan headers.

Networking โ no Wi-Fi
Networking is wired 5G LAN only. MSI lists no Wi-Fi or Bluetooth for this model, so plan a cable run or add a separate Wi-Fi adapter.

AMD Ryzen 9000, 8000 and 7000 Series on socket AM5. Ryzen 8000 chips run the x16 slot and M.2_1 at PCIe 4.0.
