Redragon Kumara K552 — Red Switch TKL Keyboard, UK Layout

The Kumara K552 is Redragon's long-running tenkeyless mechanical keyboard, here with Outemu linear red switches and a UK QWERTY layout: the tall ISO Enter key, £ on the 3 key and a separate # ~ key. The switches are plate-mounted in a metal-and-ABS body, every key is anti-ghosting, and the F-row doubles as 12 multimedia keys under a multi-colour backlight. It connects over a wired USB cable with a gold-plated plug.

Gaming on a Smaller Desk

Dropping the number pad leaves more room for wide mouse sweeps, and the linear red switches press smoothly with no tactile bump, so repeated presses stay quick and quiet.

UK LAYOUT TYPING

Typists Used to a UK Keyboard

If you learned to type on a UK or ISO keyboard, the big Enter key, the £ and the # ~ key sit where your fingers expect them. Note the legends are English only, with no Arabic letters.

UK QWERTY Layout

Seen from above, the UK layout is clear: a tall ISO Enter key, £ on the 3 key, " on the 2 key and @ beside the semicolon, with the # ~ key next to Enter. Nothing past the arrow keys: it is a compact tenkeyless board.

METAL & ABS Metal Top with Floating Keys

From an angle you see the keys standing proud of a black metal top plate, the switches plate-mounted in a metal-and-ABS body, with the multi-colour backlight shining through each legend.

OUTEMU RED Outemu Linear Red Switches

Outemu Linear Red Switches

Redragon's cut-away shows the red switch under a lifted keycap: a linear Outemu switch needing 45 gf ± 10 gf to press, with 2.0 ± 0.6 mm of travel. No click and no bump, just a smooth, quiet stroke.

ANTI-GHOSTING Full-Key Anti-Ghosting

Full-Key Anti-Ghosting

As the graphic shows, several keys pressed at once all register. Every key is conflict-free (N-key rollover), so combinations in games and shortcuts are never dropped.

Frequently Asked Questions & Store Support

What is the difference between UK and US layout?
The UK (ISO) layout has a tall, two-row Enter key, a short left Shift with an extra \ | key beside it, £ on the 3 key, " on the 2 key, @ next to the semicolon and a separate # ~ key. If you are used to a US keyboard, these keys will be in different places.
Does it have Arabic letters on the keys?
No. The legends are English only. Windows can still type Arabic once you add the Arabic keyboard language.
What do red switches feel like?
They are linear: no tactile bump and no click. Redragon specifies 45 gf ± 10 gf actuation force and 2.0 ± 0.6 mm travel, so they press smoothly and quietly.
Does it have a number pad?
No. It is a tenkeyless board, which keeps it 354 mm wide and leaves more desk space for the mouse.
Does it work on a Mac?
Redragon lists Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista and XP, with limited macOS support: it types normally, but some function and media keys may not map on a Mac.
