Epson CO-W01 — A Bright, Compact 3LCD Projector for Home and Office
The CO-W01 is a compact white Epson projector, 295 × 211 × 87 mm and 2.4 kg, built to move from the living room to a meeting room. Its 3LCD engine uses three 0.59-inch panels to give 3,000 lumens of both colour and white brightness at WXGA resolution in a 16:10 shape, so the picture holds up with some light in the room. It projects anything from 33 to 378 inches. A keystone slider on top and Quick Corner square the picture up, and the 188 W lamp is rated for 6,000 hours, or 12,000 hours in Eco mode. Plug in a laptop, console or streaming stick through HDMI, and a 5 W speaker is built in.
Films, Sport and Box Sets at Home
Connect a streaming stick, TV box or console to the HDMI input and project a big picture on any light wall. At 3,000 lumens it copes with a living room that is not fully dark, and Cinema and Dynamic modes cover films and sport. The 5 W speaker handles casual viewing.
Presentations and Classrooms
WXGA in a 16:10 shape matches most laptop screens, and Presentation, sRGB and Blackboard modes suit slides, photos and projecting onto a green board. A/V mute blanks the picture between slides, and the light 2.4 kg body is easy to carry between rooms.
3,000 Lumens at WXGA From a 3LCD Engine
Epson's front view labels the key points: 3LCD technology, a picture up to 3,000 lumens, WXGA resolution, a display up to 378 inches, and the keystone slider on top. Three 0.59-inch panels keep colour brightness equal to white brightness, so colours stay bright rather than washed out.
HDMI and USB on the Side Panel
The three-quarter view shows the lens, the power button and keystone slider on top, and the input panel on the right side. It carries an HDMI 1.4 input with MHL support, a USB-A port and a USB Type-B port for service. Focus is set by hand, and digital zoom runs from 1x to 1.35x.
