Epson EH-TW6150 — A Bright 4K PRO-UHD Projector for Films and Fast Games

The EH-TW6150 is Epson's compact white home cinema projector. Its 3LCD engine uses three 0.61-inch panels and gives 2,800 lumens of both colour and white brightness with a 35,000:1 contrast ratio. 4K PRO-UHD processing shifts each pixel diagonally to double Full HD resolution, and the projector accepts HDR10 and HLG. Game mode keeps input lag under 20 ms. A 1.62x zoom, ±60% vertical lens shift and automatic vertical keystone make it easy to place, with a picture from 40 to 500 inches.

GAMING

Console and PC Gaming

Epson rates input lag at under 20 ms in Game mode, so controls stay responsive on a big screen. HDR10 games play with 10-bit colour processing, and dark gamma uplift brightens shadows so you can see into dark scenes. Two HDMI inputs take a console and a PC or streaming stick.

HOME CINEMA

Films and Sport in the Living Room

At 2,800 lumens the picture holds up in a living room that is not fully dark, which suits evening football and family films. Cinema mode handles films, and the 10 W speaker covers casual viewing. For real cinema sound, HDMI 1 supports ARC and there is a separate audio out.

2,800 Lumens From a 3LCD Engine

Epson's front view points out the main features: 3LCD technology, 2,800 lumens, 4K PRO-UHD, a picture up to 500 inches and gaming enhancements. Three 0.61-inch C2 Fine panels show up to 1.07 billion colours, and colour brightness matches white brightness, so colours stay bright rather than washed out.

SET-UP Focus, Zoom and Lens Shift on Top

The close-up shows the top of the projector: Focus and Zoom levers, the vertical lens-shift dial and the power button. A lidded compartment on the side keeps a plugged-in cable tidy. The 1.62x zoom and ±60% vertical shift let you move or resize the picture without tilting the projector.

REAR I/O HDMI 1 With ARC, Audio Out and Service Port

HDMI 1 With ARC, Audio Out and Service Port

The rear panel carries HDMI 1 (ARC), a 3.5 mm audio out and a USB service port, next to the AC inlet and the 4K PRO-UHD and HDR10 badges. The projector has two HDMI inputs in total, both HDCP 2.3. ARC sends sound back to a soundbar or AV receiver over the same HDMI cable.

GAMING Under 20 ms Input Lag

Under 20 ms Input Lag

Epson's gaming shot shows the EH-TW6150 set up next to a controller and headset, with the claim it is built around: under 20 ms input lag. Combined with a picture of up to 500 inches and dark gamma uplift for shadow detail, it turns a wall into a large gaming screen.

Frequently Asked Questions & Store Support

Is 4K PRO-UHD the same as native 4K?
No. The panels are not native 4K. Epson's 4K enhancement shifts each pixel diagonally to double Full HD resolution, which gives a sharper picture than plain 1080p. The projector accepts 4K and HDR10 / HLG signals.
How far from the screen does it go?
The throw ratio is 1.32–2.15 thanks to the 1.62x zoom. Epson gives an 80-inch picture from 2.34 to 3.81 m. A 100-inch 16:9 picture is about 2.21 m wide, so the projector sits roughly 2.9 to 4.8 m away. Vertical lens shift of ±60% lets you raise or lower the picture without tilting it.
Is it good for gaming?
Yes. Epson rates input lag at under 20 ms in Game mode, and dark gamma uplift brightens shadow detail. Connect a PlayStation, Xbox or PC to either of the two HDMI inputs.
Does it have built-in apps or Wi-Fi?
No. Epson lists no smart platform or Wi-Fi for this model. Its connections are two HDMI inputs, an audio out and a service USB port, so plug in a streaming stick or a TV box for apps.
How long does the lamp last?
Epson rates the 200 W UHE lamp at 4,500 hours in Normal mode and 7,500 hours in Eco mode. A replacement lamp (ELPLP97) and air filter (ELPAF54) are available as options.
Can I connect a soundbar?
Yes. HDMI 1 supports ARC, so a soundbar or AV receiver can take the sound over HDMI. There is also a 3.5 mm audio out, and a 10 W speaker is built in.
