Several Times Faster Than SATA

A SATA SSD tops out near 550MB/s; the NM610 PRO 500GB reads at up to 3000MB/s. Lexar's own testing puts the line at 6x the speed of a SATA-based SSD, which shows up as faster boots and app loads.

Older Boards & Laptops

Full Speed in a PCIe 3.0 Slot

PCIe 3.0 x4 is the M.2 standard on many existing desktops and laptops, so this drive runs at its full rated speed there, without paying for Gen4 bandwidth the slot cannot use.

Label Reads M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe

The blue-and-white label carries the NM610 PRO name and its interface, M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe SSD. Lexar lists the drive at 80 × 22 × 2.45 mm with the label and 9 g in weight.

NVMe 1.4

Four PCIe 3.0 Lanes, NVMe 1.4

The gold-finger M-key edge carries four PCIe 3.0 lanes, and the drive uses the NVMe 1.4 standard. It plugs straight into an M.2 slot with no cables and is held by a single screw at the far end.

No Moving Parts

Slim, Shock-Resistant Board

From a low angle the board is only 2.45 mm thick. With no moving parts, Lexar rates it for 1500G shock and 20G vibration, which matters in a laptop that travels.

Sequential Read & Write Performance Comparison Index

Manufacturer-rated maximum sequential read (R) and write (W) speeds in MB/s. Real speeds depend on the slot, file size and cache state.

R: 5000 MB/s | W: 2500 MB/s
R: 3300 MB/s | W: 2600 MB/s

Frequently Asked Questions & Store Policies

Will it work in a PCIe 4.0 or 5.0 M.2 slot? +

Yes. NVMe drives are backward compatible, so a PCIe 3.0 drive runs in a newer M.2 slot at its own Gen3 speed. To use the extra bandwidth of a PCIe 4.0 slot, choose a Gen4 drive such as the Lexar NQ780.

Does it fit my laptop? +

If the laptop has an M.2 2280 slot that supports NVMe (M-key), yes. Check that the slot is not SATA-only; some older laptops accept only M.2 SATA drives.

Why does Lexar list two read speeds for the 500GB? +

Lexar's global product page rates the 500GB at up to 3000MB/s read, while its Americas page lists 3300MB/s. We quote the lower figure. Either way it is several times faster than a SATA SSD.

How much can I write to it? +

Lexar rates the 500GB model at 120 TBW, which it also expresses as 0.535 drive writes per day, with an MTBF of 1.5 million hours.

Can I clone my old drive onto it? +

Yes, with any disk-cloning tool, using a USB M.2 NVMe enclosure or a second M.2 slot. Make sure the new partition fits within 500GB, of which slightly less is usable after formatting.

What warranty does this SSD carry? +

It is covered by the authorized distributor warranty with local technical support. Details in our Warranty Policy ↗.

What payment and installment options are available? +

Cash on delivery, cards, and installments through valU, Sympl and banks. See our Payment Methods ↗.

How fast is shipping and delivery across Egypt? +

Orders are delivered within 2 to 7 business days across all Egyptian governorates in secure armored packaging (with pickup available from our 6th of October headquarters). See our Shipping Policy ↗.

Can AHW Store install it in a complete PC? +

Yes. Start with our Custom PC Builder ↗; our engineers fit the drive, install the OS and test the system before shipping.

What is the return policy? +

Returns follow our published policy and its conditions. Read the Refund Policy ↗.
